9/24/07

New things that are going on with me are getting ready for a camporee, cross country, and getting ready for soccer. The camporee that I am talking about happens through my church. The organization is called the Pathfinders and it is a church related activity. It is similar to boy scouts but is religious and it is a lot cooler. We are seperated through out the world by divisions, unions and confrences. The camporee that I am going to is called The Southeren Union camporee. This encompasses the states Florida, Georgia, Alabama, The Carolinas and I belive Tenessee. They are expecting 6,000 Pathfinders to attend this camporee. The place it is going to be located at is called Camp Kulaqua which is owned and operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Which I am a part of. This is my plans for the weekend.
Some of the activities that I will probably be doing are go-carting, going to the water park, volleyball, a little bit of soccer for good measure and going on an obstacle course. This is going to happen when I'm not with the ladies. We are expecting 17 or so kids from my church which is called Deltona Spanish SDA church. (SDA stands for Seventh Day Adventist.) Also I'm going to see the girl that I like up there so it should be pretty fun. What is new with Cross Country is having to take a girl to practice early in the morning. That means i have to get up a little bit earlier so I can pick her up. Even though I have to get up earlier I don't and we end up getting to school about 5 to 10 minutes late. Today we did intervals for Cross Country. We ran for 5 minutes at our race-pace or faster and then jogged for 2 minutes. We did this for 45 minutes and I am tired.
What is new with soccer is us having a parent meeting last Wednesday and finding about what is new with the team. This year I'm planning to be Varsity and hopefully a starter. There is going to be a lot of competition because only 3 seniors left so there is only going to be 3 spots open. I am excited for the new year and it's going to be a good year.
